History of Petitgrain

During the 17th century, an Italian princess popularized the floral scent of bitter orange, which became known as "neroli." The essence of bitter orange's branches also became cherished, with the inclusion of its undeveloped tiny green oranges leading to the name petitgrain or "little grain." Petitgrain is used in skin cleansers and toners, and it is a perennial favorite in perfumery. Woodier and slightly less floral than neroli, petitgrain offers a soothing, reassuring, and ultimately energizing aroma that carries the unmistakable zing of orange as it provides a pick-me-up for both mood and mind.

Can't quite place the scent...
I can't quite place the scent though it reminds me of clean laundry, lemon tree blossoms and warm summer days all at once. Lightly floral and clean-smelling. I may have found a new favorite.I can't quite place the scent though it reminds me of clean laundry, lemon tree blossoms and warm summer days all at once. Lightly floral and clean-smelling. Smells amazing!!!
This oil can be used as perfume, I put drop to my dishwasher detergent and to my cleaning liquids, all kitchen smell beautiful. I did not try it in diffuser, but I am sure it will produce such a nice scent all over my house. Will definitely buy again as I use so much of it, bottle nearly gone….This oil can be used as perfume, I put drop to my dishwasher detergent and to my cleaning liquids, all kitchen smell beautiful. One of my favorites!
I wasn't sure what to expect when I bought this oil, but I had heard it was good for calming, so I tried it. I was so pleasantly surprised! It has a light sweet scent, with just a hint of orange. I love it so much I wear it alone as a perfume, and always receive comments on it!I wasn't sure what to expect when I bought this oil, but I had heard it was good for calming, so I tried it.
